Marvin's poscast on 1/11/19 was just full of more headline numbers. Are you kidding me Marvin? 70-80% of those impacted will have a job in Lowes? Yeah, for ALOT less income and because they need something to get by for the time being. Oh and the 270 Asset positions you threw out there. Really!?!? THOSE ARE THE SENIOR POSITIONS THAT WERE ALREADY CHOSEN. So how can one apply for them?? Tell me how? Oh, thats right, no one can apply, those positions WERE NEVER POSTED! Not for those nor any class 5 or 6 store (unless there was an opening from moving one to that "senior role"). Then you look at what's left. Supervisor roles, cabinet specialists...nope, deep pay cut there. So that leaves the ASM role...depending on the Market you're in, there might be 1 open ASM position to apply for that even relatively close to where you live.

In my store, the open management positions closed a week before Ellison announced my layoff. Almost as if they had planned it that way. So I'm screwed unless I want to be lead cashier or a temp. Not doing that. I already have offers. Marvin Ellison and Lowes can KMA.

Since Lowes told me they don't need my anymore, I've stopped well over 1500 dollars worth of merchandise from walking out the door, and we still haven't had any accidents. Who's going to do that when I'm gone? No one, of course. We're a couple hours from the next nearest Lowe's. My store will be lucky if they ever see the guy who's supposed to do my job from 100 miles away. He hasn't even contacted the store yet.

I'll continue to do my job until my last day, because I'm excellent at it and I'm proud of what I do. But after that, Lowes will never see my happy keister walk through their doors again.

I'll take my 10 years experience in LP/Asset Protection elsewhere. And Lowe will get what it deserves.
