Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Change isn’t always good

The author praises the company efforts to change the way it’s doing business. Even though this article isn’t directly about the changes within the company headcount, it paints a good picture on the eagerness of the company leaders to provide change at any cost. I can’t agree that it’s a good thing. Changing for the better requires the best of us, but it looks like the company wants to change for the better with a load of part-timers and inexperienced youngsters, rather than with the ones that contributed in building it.

They will spend a fortune trying to train each new wave of part timers (if any can pass a d--g test) and the constant training alone will cost more than keeping loyal , knowledgeable and hard working full timers. If they did the math correctly, they would see I am right.

In this case the only change that matters to them is cost reduction.

They say efficient they mean cheaper. They say anything anytime for any reason, they mean you’re gonna get hosed.
