Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Too Many Bosses

I work in paint.

Monday: SSM tells me to clean up the paint desk area so we can have more cans behind the desk.

Tuesday: Paint rep arrives and redoes what I have done to suit his liking. (I am off)

Wednesday: LPM looks over the paint desk and has me take the top row of cans off of each facing. He say that they are too high.

Thursday: SM tells me to take another row off because the price stickers can’t be seen. The number of cans out of boxes in top stock is growing.

Friday: (today) SSM asks why I didn’t follow his directions and wants two lines of paint swapped in addition to putting away freight from last night, returns from last night (there was a call off), filling tinters, IRPs, DHSR, coveting home decor until 11, and doing whatever else is thrown my way.

It is a miracle if a store manager, asm or service manager ever leaves the office in our stores here. When you need something, they don't even come. Some girl got attacked by a crazy customer and no one would come to help her despite her calling for help. Luckily a customer got the guy off the girl and the crazy guy ran away. The girl was so shaken up and so disgusted that no one would come help her so she quit.

Get used to it. They are now implementing the new hires that are "supervisors". You guys are lucky. At any given moment, I have 5 managers giving tasks simultaneously, with WIRE too assigning tasks. Corporates answer? Hire Supervisors = more dic---ad managers who cant lead ants to a picnic. They fired one specialist here, that leaves 2. They are not replacing him, a 12 yr veteran. So me and the other person have already picked up 33% more work, plus we dont even work our PRO dept! We are cashiers and lumber. We do IRPs, cycle counts, and cover every call bell. Lowes is a fkkn mess, and its getting worse. Time to LEAVE! These unethical lying slobs are not worth any decent employees time or energy. Oh yea.. God Bless. What a joke.

The so-called monkey mo--n store manager in fort Mill, SC stays in his office almost all day inverted little person, so very timid, how he ever got there no one knows or we do know. Be careful BOO!!!! go run and hide, everyone knows one big joke you are, waiting to see you get walked out the door.

This is true....Lowes is the only place I know of that has one manager for every 7 people.At least that is the case at my store. I have seen preschool classes with 30 students per teacher. Lowes is so screwed up
