Only reason I'm still there is because I've worked my way up to one of the only decent jobs there. I drive a truck moving trailers, outside and away from most of the BS. That along with having seniority since most everyone else has quit is the only thing keeping me there. I've thought long and hard about starting over somewhere else and if we get no raise (again) this year I'll be putting some apps in. The place is such a joke, the only thing keeping us running is temp services and the shady characters they provide...

As someone who works at a DC I can tell you these are horrible jobs! There is a reason you are expected to pass a physical fitness test to be hired, these jobs will wreck your body and the pay s---s too. This is hard manual labor often in 100+ degree heat. You will work every holiday for your normal wage. You will work 10 or 12 hour shifts and get 2 15 minute breaks. You will regularly be required to work late with no advance warning and also be required to work extra shifts (on the weekend). You'll be stuck using your vacation time mid week due to their 10% rule. The schedules s---, either 5am start on days, or 1am finish on nights. You'll be required to make "rate" or be fired, which usually is raised 5% or so per year. You won't ever get raises, not even to adjust for inflation. I actually make less than I did 4 years ago due to losing a gauranteed bonus and lack of raises. Shift differentials are an absolute joke, 35 cents extra to work night shift LOL! NO room for advancement, everybody in every area makes the same wage except maintenance. The insurance is garbage! $350 a month for insurance that doesn't cover anything ($6000 deductible). This used to be an ok place to work for people willing to work hard but not anymore. Every year there are more changes and NEVER for the better. Do yourself a favor and don't EVER consider a Walmart DC job!

I wouldn't work for a company with such bad work environment. They only promote people who kiss up to their managers
