Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

The only things that have come true are the co manager lay offs and now this attendence policy change (which itself is no big deal and is modeled by other companies everywhere), both of which can be validated on the ground level. The rest has been just 'somethings gonna happen!!' fear mongering.

All I know is most rumors that are posted end up being true. I was a wireless DM and when hours start going down in a position or none drop down safe to say it’s getting cut. Personnel has been rumored for a while now so I would not even doubt that rumor. As for the attendance I was tipped off one day by a supervisor that absences will be reset to zero when I asked about it I was told I didn’t hear that. I am not troll. So although nothing has been announced, he is the type not to go off rumors on the internet. So safe to say I think personnel and attendances are probably true. Do I believe it will be a five

Point system? I don’t know but I am no troll. I got my job cut and wasn’t surprised at all. Esp when my SM told me in November before it got cut that no hours were dropping for my position anymore and I joked and said is it getting eliminated? She quickly said no and she would be talking with Market HR about it. Feb. I got pulled in the office being told my position was gone. You may be mad at the rumors but some of them do become true.

I’m thinking Feb. is when we will get answers like last year. Last year there was a leak about COs to the media before they got eliminated. I’m sure this time they are being more smart about it and keeping it under wraps. Amazon and Target both talked about raising wages and when those companies do something Walmart tried to out beat them. If they are raising wages then cuts will happen. Changes will happen.

Oh I would gladly get out of the kitchen. I will never work for another company that has a bell curve. Maybe management should be placed on it too. I see alot of them advance just on politics

A lot of what I have read on this site has come to past. This company could care less about their associates and are closed lip in fear of losing their jobs. So with that said we all come here for info and to vent. If you can’t stand the 🔥 then get out of the kitchen!

Oh noooo. Not BLAST!!!! Whatever shall we do? Winter is coming.....blast that oh great knower of all things Walmart. Unless you make 6+ figures and sit in on executive meetings you have no more idea of what isn’t happening than some have of what is and you may actually know less. Blast that.
