Service desk are only doing 3rd party returns from pick up and claims sends it out. Foods DM's are now doing claims for their dpts. Claims is being reduced in some stores and increased in other stores. My store is a division 1 and has 3 claims associates but the super center across town only has one claims associate and the claim sup. Our small store does more volume than the super center. DSD is eventually getting reduced drastically. Vendors will go through DCs now and product will come off the trucks eliminating the need to check in vendors. Cap team will eventually be the receivers for what doesn't come from DCs. Both cap 1 and cap 2 will be receiving and checking in freight. Most merchandise will come through DCs. This info comes from my brother who is a store manager. They have been told not to talk about it until they are informed to do so. He only told me this info because I'm a claim sup and I've been very nervous lately. He runs a super center and I'm at a div 1 store but they usually have same job codes.

Your APASM doesn't know anything yet. Are you talking receiving? They have been reducing those hours for years. Where are you now?

Haven't heard that one yet! You sure? I was approached by our APASM for a FT open req in the grocery backroom. It would bring us back up to three again.
