Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

So tired of Union Pacific

Honestly, I'm so tired of this place that I already made the decision to leave one way or another. The only reason I'm still here is a hope to get severance. With so many layoffs taking place, I don't want to leave on my own and then find out that I could have been laid off with a package if I had waited it out.

Something tells me I'm not alone in this...

Same here. I love this company and I love what I do here but this company is being run into the ground. I want to leave proactively now but can’t bring myself to do it. If I’m going to leave, I want that severance. I just can’t bring myself to quit a job that I love, despite our sh--ty leadership that is actively ruining the company.

I’m betting that come February, we’ll see a lot of people start to leave voluntarily. Most of the people I talk to are holding out for one more bonus and then they are ready to walk.

I’m in the same boat. (Severance = (payment for pain and suffering))

If they asked for volunteers to take a buyout the 30% layoff would be easily obtained.

Instead we're firing people who want to stay and keeping people who want to leave. Engaged Team?
