Been working three years at Lamar to be unexpectedly terminated due to attendance. If y’all know anything about Lamar it’s that they can never keep on top of their paperwork so its suspicious circumstances that they got me fired and nobody else and it’s hard to not feel singled out. I’m not denying it, I screwed up my attendance, but there are sooo many people who got away with it. The atl who processed the paperwork and my tms rep have already put in their two weeks so there’s nobody to help me figure out what’s next. It’s a joke. Nobody talked to me about how to get my pto, or explain why I got fired for attendance when there’s others who literally call out eight shifts in a row or show up to the wrong shift and aren’t written down in the book. There isn’t equal treatment. I was told I was getting written up to “make an example out of me” and it’s not the first time I’ve gotten a raw deal. Being promised a promotion that never came in exchange for doing free work, coming in for clopens, split days as a tm and a supervisor, etc. It’s clear that there are favorites and BB has run the place into the ground. I wasn’t ready to leave and it breaks my heart. Anyway do I still get my pto if I got terminated? Nobody left to ask but the internet.

There is life after WFM. Believe me. I worked for this dump for 19 years as a TL.Moved to Texas to be fired almost three months here. I asked about bad practices in the dept and was on the c-ap list from week three. I almost knew I would be gone. After being let go for not punching in, I was heart broken. After a small stint with Kroger I am now with H-E-B. Best move ever. Complete 180 from WF. I have been there for 7 months and will be the leadership program in Jan. The best part,the growth thast happening with H-E-B is crazy and my skill sets are being sought after. I make great money and havent felt any stress at all. Systems are far advanced and amazing, leadership actually cares. Treats like a Partner. They show respect and always have time to say GOOD MORNING. My next 20 plus years to come are going to be awesome. You will be glad you were let go. Its better now than later when for sure there will be more job cuts and more bs OTS. I miss my WF fam, but that company slowly will go to c-ap with less knowledgeable tm to talk about the products they sell.

Yes you will get all your PTO hours in your final paycheck. Let it go and move on. One day you will look back and be glad as you are going to end up in a better place. Take care.
