GE power is offering a max of 12 weeks pay for VSEP willing employees for are EB to SPB targeting employees with 5 to 12 years service. Its the first step before they start Job Elimination layoffs.

i met few folks who really were offered 12 weeks pay for VRS
They are staying put since if you quit , it still pays 10 weeks , so not much incentive to take VRS ..
not just SPB , even LP bands offered ..
Know at least one in GVL GPS Engineering took it...

Based on who was on the calls held by HR about this, I can state for certain that it was offered to SPB and EB employees working for Power Services physically located in the United States. It included PS HQ, Functions, and PS NAM region personnel. I know two SPB employees who accepted the package.
If you compare the package to similar ones recently offered by GM, Verizon, and Coca Cola, it was very stingy. If one were planning to resign anyway, then it was an incentive to pull the ripcord. Otherwise, not much incentive compared to what other companies have offered.
If it's truly being offered, believe me- it's the precursor to a subsequent layoff action. Review your situations /options carefully, people.
