For anybody who thinks we’re in this alone.....it’s a whole industry thing. In fact, it’s a whole economy thing. The Company most like us has to be Allstate, even though they are a stock company. Check them out on this website. Or Progressive, or Farmers, or Liberty Mutual. Etc etc etc. Change the names of the players and cities, and the posts are all interchangeable.

That's right. An absolute joke.
State Farm, sadly, has become a joke. I don't think current employees care what is happening at other carriers.
This OP is definitely a PR goon for State Farm. This is like the 3rd time this nonsense has been posted. And each time, it has been pointed out that no insurance company has come close to laying off the number (or percentage) of workers that State Farm has, and that several of those insurance companies listed in the OP are actually hiring.
So this is BS.
State Farm is a was. So true they have lost their credibility. RICO violators, d--g abuse, infedility, alcoholism, and the all about me attitude has further destroyed its credibility. The job is no longer a career. It will get worse. They do not understand that values create wealth and wealth does not create values. SF is like the wolf on wall street. Sad but true.
With all of my colleagues being let go around the country the last few years, very few who went to another carrier said it was the same. Most felt like it was more like SF of yesteryear. That could be some rose colored glasses but I find it hard to believe our most successful competitors are as a-- backward as we are.
It's not the economy... it's the wave of technological change that is making 20th Century insurance companies obsolete. State Farm makes fools of themselves trying to make fun of Lemonade... You/they are soon to be lines in the history books. I would be looking to get a new job outside the traditional insurance industry soon.
With such a low unemployment rate right now, it's foolish for these companies to take advantage of the valuable, highly trained, licensed and good employees they have on staff. When a company becomes a revolving door of employees, they lose their credibility.
Workers have become disposable to companies....cheaper
