Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

The Layoff.com

It has always had its share of trolls, snowflakes and snowflake killers, but The Layoff.com (Chevron) used to be a fairly lively source of information about the company, if nothing more than for entertainment value. Now days, it just seems to be morbidly lacking of much of anything.

Anybody care to speculate some insight? Employees being monitored for site access / thumb-drive Police moonlighting as a moderator and scrubbing anything controversial / people just worn out with anything to do with CVX?

Yes, distance from layoffs decreases interest in this site. The clumsy deletions and banning of respondents by the moderaters blocks more general community discussions. Most move on to more interesting general chat venues if that is what they are interested in. No shortage of other options. The few remaining appear to be grammar police or company bumpkins

I've heard Chevron are quite good at staff reductions through fatalities and permanent disabling injuries, -xrn. Maybe you people can get your second wind through that?

This site used to be vibrant with a good exchange of comments and insight, along with the usual troll. It was much better soon after the first layoffs started in 2015 and the second round in 2016. Today, it’s full of trolls because most everyone is retired or found a new job. But don’t worry, OP. It won’t be long before another wave of layoffs and ROMs start again at Chevron. The site may catch its second wind before it’s all over.
