GE Power Drinking Game - A New Holiday Tradition!

Have some fun over the holidays and play a drinking game by perusing the GE Power Org Charts and taking a shot for every executive that has less than 10 direct and extend reports and 2 shots for every executive that has 1 or no reports! Be careful you will have to extend this game out over several nights or you will die from alcohol poising. My suggestion is to start with only one silo at at time in GE Power's Departments of Redundancy Departments that are full of redundant positions and roles no one quite understand other than "watchers":

  • Product Management

  • Project Management

  • Project Leadership

  • Customer Applications

  • Business Operations

  • Human Resources

I tried this game was drunk all day and woke up in a hotel room with a h--ker from upstairs. She says that GE is laying off more in a major reduction. Then I made her pay for the room Because I am a Trate who was laid off 3 times with more to come. Shame on me for believing in the union and the company for job security.

Dare you to play the game while at work. It is easier to play if you are an Executive or above.

You don't know what:

-Product Management

-Project Management

-Project Leadership

-Customer Applications

-Business Operations

-Human Resources

mean?

Are they bloated? Ya of course. Everything in a large company is somewhat bloated. More so than production or engineering or maintenance? Probably. Does everyone know that those things describe? Of course they do.
