Opal Wilson has made her mark on Halliburton history. She has worked for the company for 60 of its 95-year existence and was recognized by colleagues and company executives as Halliburton’s longest-serving employee during a celebration on Jan. 24 at the Duncan Golf and Tennis Club.

At the celebration, Wilson learned the company will rename its finance center at its Duncan office the Halliburton Opal Wilson Finance Center in her honor.

Duncan City Council received an update on the status of updates at City Hall and agreed to pay some bills that go along with it during a special meeting Thursday night.

The new City Hall will be located at 1700 S. Highway 81 at what used to be the Halliburton Opal Wilson Finance Center.

There isn’t an exact move in date yet, according to project manager Randy Wilson, but he hopes they’ll be able to wrap it up in early spring 2019.
