My neighbor and many other employees of ups are having their hours cut in half. Such a shame. He has two small children.

My entire department on the corporate side of things just went to mandatory 6 hour shifts. No overtime. So now we are basically part time employees.
What I don't understand is why they are hiring more and more people they xant even keep the ones who have been there employed 🤔
Yes, ups I'd cutting hours after made a lot of money last quarter. The funny thing is that they have a post asking employees to referral friends and family to work and they will pay 250.00 for each one, that new ceo of the company after destroyed home depot is doing the same with UPS, she really should burn in he-l.
I know drivers that are hard working, and will work above and beyond without complaining because they have to support there families. One thing there are workers and then people that take advantage of the system.......
One employee out sick due to injury for 7 months and than return to work, out again injury again another 3 months. That ends than returns to one day out again. Whats up with that?
Maybe they should cut the number of managers they have !!! So crazy! They don’t know how to manage staffing !!!
Sadly as a company you can't let nepotism and personal feelings be part of your prioritization of who gets cut. If you allow a lot of someones who does worse work to stay because they have two children or have a sad story, eventually you'll end up cutting extra people because there's less salary to go around.
