Listening to the CEO respond to his employees concerns was embarrassing. Employees don’t understand their benefits? Courage over comfort? I really had hope and thought hearing the concerns would generate positive change but they already know the issues and essentially continue to tell use we don’t give a f--- about you and it should be an honor to work for this great company.

Idk, most of claims have gotten rid of points, have done large hiring waves. I don’t think SF has been deaf here. Diseconomies of scale is the problem, we make these sudden decisions on changes but it takes time to change that ships direction. Clearly there has been more pushback then anticipated and they are doing damage control.
Hub concept working very well. Bodies in bodies out every ywar. Most don't make it 5 years which is perfect. No pension. Very little PTO. Good for long term employees.
Hub life, it all depends on your end game. I've got another year until retirement and will be riding it out. Otherwise I'd be high tailing it out of there. There are many other insurance company options where I'm at. With better pay and probably not doing all the new job duties that have been pushed on us. And I bet they have coffee available for their employees, too!!
We're all powerless in a mechanism of absolute power for tippy red stockings. He's got what he always wanted and isn't going anywhere. Recognize what you're apart of. It's as close to a dictatorship as it gets. Join the state or be quiet. Those are your options.
29 years in with the finish line in site.....can I get there before I lose my mind or my op center is closed....stay tuned.
Is it stupid or courageous to stay at an underpaid/under appreciated dead end job?
