Also gender is not the same as s-x, suggesting all little girls are female a transphobic and regressive view of gender. Gender is a social construct and has nothing to do with biological s-x.

I completely agree with the poster, I have two daughters and my husband and I have always taught them that they can be anything they want when they grow up. The fact that Mattel is pushing this garbage and telling young girls that at age 5 they will probably stop believing their gender can do or be anything is terrible. What kind of message is that sending? I always thought the Barbie brand did a great job showcasing what a woman could do, but now thats not good enough, you need to promote some made up physiological problem and convince girls they are worthless unless they buy Barbie dolls to cure them of their self loathing?! Fire whoever came up with this concept!
The big announcement is a gender neutral Barbie that goes by the name of Pat.
