What's it like to teach and learn at Ashford

About 93% of all teachers at Ashford are adjuncts. What's it like to teach for Ashford?

I have heard that that it takes more hours than they are paying for.

Do teachers have much say in the content?

Do students at the higher levels write papers? If so, is there plagiarism?

How is grading at the school?

Teaching at Ashford

  • Vastly underpaid

  • No longer have any say in the content (we used to write the guidance (lol for free I should add)))

  • No contracts, you never have any idea if you are going to be working one semsester to the next.

  • If you have less than 7 students, your pay is cut in half, but, the weekly workload is the same

  • You catch students plagiarising, they don't care. I give them zero's but gave up on trying to report them to admin

  • I have literally never in my life every have been treated this badly as an employee than I have as an on--line professor.

  • Catch a student paying another student to take their classes for them? Admin does not care

It's funny how everyone says universitities are "marxist", they are actually the most evil predatory corporatiions I have ever done business with. Yes, I have worked non-profits as well, they are just as bad as Ashford if not worse.

@Spyro, please contact me. You can use an anonymous email, there are several free ones on the Internet. If you can't do that, please contact Veterans Education Success or David Halperin. Please also consider starting an Ashford University student site similar to the ITT Tech Warriors or I Am Ai. If you need to, you can make it a closed group. If you need help setting up the page, please let me know.

@camden

Besides this site, no. There are plenty of victims, employees and students alike. I don’t work there anymore, but have some close friends that are still employed there

@Spyro, is there any place on the Internet where students talk?

Also have you contacted David Halperin or Veterans Education Success?

Well I can tell you what it’s like for students. plagiarism is rampant and you can find the answers to all homework assignments (discussions, quizzes, and essays) online. Not anywhere close to a traditional school. I have had some managers of mine teach and pre set or pre determined responses to students are very common
