Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Regaining the spark

This was an interesting article. Even though all of us are familiar with the fact that the problems that GE is facing started a long time ago and that they were in the making for years, but this article gave a precise view of the development of the problems. It also points out the ruthlessness of corporate America and the fact that size, tradition, culture, values, and old gorry don't mean anything. While I agree that GE still has a lot to fall back on and that it still has a good chance to survive, what will be emerging from all of this is a company that is radically changed, and probably with a much smaller footprint.

Spark? The one Cybertron and Decpticon fight for? Or the one that will light the fire of Resistance and burn the First Order down? Oh wait, we don’t actually have any order...

Why am I still seeing so many people day in and day out? They are not working in GE? But they all have a badge! I check everyday!

Sorry gatekeeper.... No one wants in anymore therefore names are not important... Many are trying to spin the meatball on their mad dash out...

The article is too long and it takes me a while to finish it. Sorry did I mention who I am? I am a GE campus gate keeper. My job is to ask everyone three soul-searching questions every day: Who are you? Where are you from? And what are you doing here?
