This was an interesting article. Even though all of us are familiar with the fact that the problems that GE is facing started a long time ago and that they were in the making for years, but this article gave a precise view of the development of the problems. It also points out the ruthlessness of corporate America and the fact that size, tradition, culture, values, and old gorry don't mean anything. While I agree that GE still has a lot to fall back on and that it still has a good chance to survive, what will be emerging from all of this is a company that is radically changed, and probably with a much smaller footprint.
