Heard about a big news regarding our CIO

Not sure, heard she has been let go.

It was depressing to see investment projects remain funded while deep cuts (layoffs) were being made. It was worse to see groups so unaware of what cost cutting targets were that they were complicit in the lost jobs. It was managerial ineptitude to maintain a raft of EPMO staff twiddling thumbs after most investments were cancelled. I put most of this on a failure at the CIO level. Some groups did no cutting at all while others went to the bone.

We may never know if it was her lack of IT knowledge or her tolerance for some of her leaders. Either way, it’s true.

She left because she met her quota of reducing XIM by 50%. She signed a new exit agreement in Nov. 2016 as per the Deason court documents.

Yes, she is gone as of 11/30. The usual "left to pursue other opportunities." Email came out late last week.
