Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Rise Up Retail

These people are just communist vultures looking to ultimately extract donations and political support from people they consider to be already traumatized by belief in a company and job loss. The only victory that can claim is $600 bucks a piece for some Toys R Us employees. They are not here for your well being, they are only here to extract political support for Democratic Socialists of America candidates.

Is this part of what you have to do to earn your $25M in bonuses as a Sears exec?

Unlike Sears I will encourage you to look it up and form your own opinion. Thinking people will look up the claims on their own.

if you look into it you can find it in 5 minutes, look into the guy who does their real news network garbage. Start looking into their funding, and who they get their support from. Look into the structure at the top and see who they share leadership with, it's not a difficult quest.

Nice misdirection agent-of-Eddie. But the fact of the matter is that the "greedy" Mormons gave $20M to the Toys R Us folks when they didn't have to. What is Eddie going to do for the Sears workers this holiday?

"Mitt Romney actually donates very generously if you look at his tax returns."

The vast majority of his donations are to the Mormon church, which is mandatory to remain a member in good standing there (e.g. be allowed to attend weddings).

Ultimately it's the Toys R Us founder and Bain Capital of Mitt Romney fame decided to pay out that $600 to help those former workers. It's a nice gesture for the holidays. Not everyone is like Eddie "Scrooge" Lampert. Not everything has to be looked at through a political lens, because hedge fund managers can do charity if they want too. Mitt Romney actually donates very generously if you look at his tax returns. ESL can too. Or is all that Holiday spirit stuff done at HE every year just complete BS? So they can't even claim the $600 bucks? LOL Thanks I was unaware of that detail. So all they did was extract donations and activism time from already traumatized people. 👌 Good to know that

Bain loaded TRU up with debt and pretty much killed it, so it's the least Mittens could do

Sears' Chairman never learned from Game Theory that in the Prisoner Dilemma, cooperation is the winning strategy. Tit-for-Tat stands the test of time because people remember how you treat them. He alienates everyone, and that's why no one wants to work with him a second time. He's James Taggart from Atlas Shrugged, a narcissist, always ignoring the good advice of others around him, plunging a once great company headlong into failure, at the end, finding himself without a single ally or friend.
