Reductions will happen 100% sure.
Company has hired so many mid-managers and people with none customer facing roles that it is unavoidable, not to mention BrExit. Empires are built in some areas and empires are as we know never lasting.
Secondly HR hasn't been as active as ever before.. they are probing Citrix employees on LinkedIn -most likely capturing those who are open for change.
The organization is a mess - everyone runs around and trying to prof themselves valuable. But most are only interested to attach to big deal but not actually helping to close them. This is what happens when you have a CFO as CEO. I don't mind our ex CFO however that is not what the company needs during this transition. Sales teams can have up to 4 meetings a week to explain close plans and deals. FFS we sell licenses.. if they don't buy our licenses they will by someone else's products. I get the feeling that most managers and executives either comes from the manufacturing side or have worked in a company where they had Monopoly.
Finally I want to say this.. we have great products and technology but the current mid managers are mostly insane and delusional..they don't know how to run a business. Any real cloud company understands that quality and customer service is A-O. These guys hide when we have an escalation... or even worse actively makes decision that makes us lose customers.. it works for a while but not over a longer period of time.
We have a strong trust in the market many thanks to a lot of the ex Citrites that has left for companies as Google, Salesforce, Amazon, MS Azure... They had the heart and passion to go above and beyond. If this continues with micro measuring people - people will just do what it takes to meet those expectations.
