There are no hikes in India for last 4 years +. Only politicos survive the season with hikes. Rest are treated as if they are vagabond. I left the organisation on my own this month and joined a startup. The work is very good and there is no suffocation as it is in Cisco. My health has also improved.

I did not survive this culling season for the good. But I am 100% agree with OP here. Do not assume that you are safe just because you survived today. Treat this as extra oxygen/ borrowed time to better prepare for next gig. Adios Cisco.
