Courage over Comfort

Yes, I agree with this phrase.

Finding the courage within to leave an abuser vs. finding comfort of being abused.

Very well played by them. Such a professional environment only that you feel like a prisoner from the time you come in to the time you leave.

Yes, it's true that several employees in my office location (possibly around 25 or so) who dressed up as prisoners (orange jumpsuits) on Halloween '18. They had group photos taken, and one or two of the "prisoners" held up a poster board sign in the photos that stated the parole date (our office's QTD). The Halloween costume theme mimicked the "new culture" within SF. S

The company propaganda is "courage over comfort" which translates to step up and take it in the rear and don't ask for lube. Glad y'all found greener pastures elsewhere.

I left in July after nearly 19 years and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. My stress level is significantly reduced, I make more money, and I can leave at the end of the day with a sense of peace. I definitely miss some of the people, but haven’t looked back for a second.

Yes agreed. Being used to the farm for so long brings a lot of comfort. It’s easy to think that this is just a bad wave that you need to ride out and then it will get better. Trust me, it isn’t. There is no individual thought anymore in your job. No authority. Straighten up your financial house and get out ASAP. Not worth being in that abusive environment.

Long term employees, s--- it up and step into the light! It is so much better without the golden handcuffs. I had a QTD of 3/31/18. Best thing that has happened to my mental health since as long as I can remember. I was terrified, but I made it through and have a better paying job with an employer that is not so suppressive. It is uplifting to have an employer that values you as a person and an employee.
