Severance changes are now in place. I am not certain of the specifics but less. Go/cic has no bearing on SP. Only if execs implement cic then it activates, such as a hostile takeover. This was and is clearly conveyed, officially.

If that's true, and that is questionable, one could see entire departments eliminated.

SP is same as it was before, use go/cic, However layoffs are inevitable.

4500 sounds too much. I heard it was 6%. That should be less than 1500.

@-rnd, any idea of the severence pkg cuts? That could change the calculus for many deciding "should I stay or should I go? " like The Clash, lol.

It's probably going to be big, they just cut the severance package down in preparation.

All of APT, PTE, PDT, SPT and so called test teams will be vanished from NA.

SW will take biggest hit , HW will have minor impact mainly higher titles will be let go

Prod and Program management will be reduced to zero.

Why not asking if there will be layoff planned in AH?

Revenue is not growing and jobs are opening in taiwan and overseas.

You figure!!!
