Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

It’s almost as if you’re not performing well then you might be let go!

Mr. Sam must be rolling in his grave!!!! Is showing up two work everyday not good enough anymore?? Now I actually have to be productive in order to have job security? What is this company coming too?

I agree on the no performance raises, some people get same raises I do and do the minimal but boss likes them. Raises based on where you are in pay band friggin BS but it’s Wally World not the real world. Hang tight 3 more weeks till the news gets dumped on us. Happy New Year!!!

People need to stop sanctifying Sam Walton. This business of him 'rolling in his grave if he saw what's become of his company'...pff. Gimme a break. That guy was as as scroungy, greedy and cut thoat as all the rest of the One Percenters----he just lived in a time when you couldn't flaunt it as much.

The super rich don't get that way by having anything like empathy or compassion for their fellow human beings, believe me.

@jqg You need to educate yourself. First, here's a link to how NAFTA came to. (Hint: It started under Reagan.) https://www.thebalance.com/history-of-nafta-3306272

And here's a fair overview of outsourcing focusing on HP and GM: https://www.forbes.com/sites/panosmourdoukoutas/2016/05/01/who-sent-american-jobs-away/#7a8df08a62ec

Well considering there are no performance based raises = no performance anymore. You see it throughout the company, from Market Managers down

Sam was the guy singly most responsible, along with the Clintons for laying the groundwork for Chinese outsourcing. He's responsible for all of this.
