Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

People are leaving on their own

Is it just me, or is the number of people who are leaving Allscripts on their own growing every day?

Two people I know had their last day last week and are already working elsewhere. And from what I understand, at least two more are actively looking for a new job.

It's not surprising, to be honest, considering how badly we've been doing lately. Who wants to work at a place where layoffs are expected all the time?

Just remember that policy is they do not pay out Unused PTO. While I was actually laid off, I used up five weeks of PTO in the first six months so I didnt lose more than a week.

I am doing better now than while at Allscripts. Better money, better benefits, not stressed about getting laid off at any moment.

Best of Luck for those who escaped and found greener pastures?

The vast majority of us who left on our own accord didn't need luck. and trust me the vast majority of us are doing much better then if we stayed. Been Allscripts free for 2 years. We controlled our destiny don't let Allscripts control yours or your family. You see every day and experience every day how your leadership is clueless, no morals, no ethics, only watching out for themselves. No guidance, no skill sets the market needs, they are the walking dead and the employees left are their food. You should have seen this coming for years, The appointment of Black, and that dumb twit who came into the company with zero experience in anything but nursing in children hospital.. Lori whatever who cares. and the rest are committing a rape on the company.

It is the remaining employees who need the luck and good fortune now... Get out now. You owe them nothing.

I hate to say it, because I have quite a bit of time in total including pre-acquisition/merger time, but I think 2019 might be the year I sharpen up the resume and start looking elsewhere. This is by no means the first layoff rodeo I've rode in during my time.

The reason I hate to say it is because there's a lot of great people who actually care about delivering quality product, who believe that HIT is the future and that it can do a lot of good in the world - and those people are one of the reasons I've stuck it out this long. When you're in a position that there's really no way out of - no way up that's appealing at any rate - your relatively stable "safe" job seems more and more like a trap. The workloads are increasing at a crazy rate, nothing makes sense anymore, there's a reek of desperation in the air, and lots of names are disappearing from the email address book it may certainly be time to start looking elsewhere.

Best of luck to those who escape and find greener pastures.
