Over the past two months, there’s apparently been a mass exodus of senior level technical staff as well as a few people in leadership roles. Resources with almost twenty years employment have left the building, this time of year. This is probably due to the stock being down considerably and people tired of the same old NetApp. What do you guys think is going on? Is the transformation working or is it a sinking ship?

By Boulder, do you mean SolidFire? I get frequent emails about openings there.
Boulder - dropping like flies. Extremely weak leadership from all levels of management, especially at the director and VP levels. A lot of good talent taking advantage of local opportunities.
The never ending Transformation. I left NetApp 3 years ago. The "Transformation" began two years before that. Transformation is just a word that is used to make annual layoffs sound better. They hold an annual layoff at some point in the year and a bunch of people who aren't politically connected or organizations that don't have politically connected leaders are let go. Then they open up reqs in other areas and do hiring across the year and balloon areas where the politically connected are in control. The politics change. Rinse and repeat.
I'm aware of about a dozen resources out of the Sunnyvale office who have resigned over the past few months, but no one has been forced out that I'm aware of. Most are going to startups and the typical Cisco or Palo Alto Networks. To the point of the original post, who cares!?????
Can you give some examples? I have not noticed this, other than a couple of people retiring . . .
What you are seeing is transformation related. They are trimming the fat. It’s a good thing. Change is coming.
