UP built a float for the Rose Parade honoring the Chinese involvement in building the railroad. The float broke down and stopped the parade. This actually just happened.

A Rose Bowl parade float, representing one of the greatest engineering achievements in US history which is the transcontinental railroad and Chinese workers history, has broken down and caught on fire. 2019 is off to a roaring start. Right in front of the fire brigade float. 2019 has a sense of humor!
