Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Get your head out of the sand

We can still survive if they change the ceo. He has done nothing to make the company better. Fifteen years and 20 million dollars later don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Our loyal customers still love shopping with us. Stop cutting the hours in the stores and start cutting the hours in the corporate office. New blood fresh ideas are needed now to make the company survive.

E-commerce is terrible. They want the stores to push it but we can’t produce. We tell the customer it’s 3 to 7 business days and they say no thanks. Spend that 20 million dollar salary and hire someone who can make it work. Stale ideas and old school retail marketing is not going to help bbb go on.

Don't feel bad for him or the corrupt board/upper management.

All they do is hang out year after year and recycle stock and feed off the company with little to no new quality ideas to compete in a modern retail environment.

The merch guy retired and they take him back as a consultant- why, he helped get us get in the mess in the office in the first place. Feeding egos has been a culture here and watch them walk through to their office and see stress on our face is unreal.

Tamara's owns a freaking soccer team, wow is he hurting.

How about the people who got ruthlessly cut?

Hmmm

Dear CEO, pls resign.

You have done a lot of good work and no one can take that away from you. You have been the leader if this organization for a long time and has guided this company through lots of challenges. But, all good things come to an end. As much as I would like to see you continue, I cannot overcome the fact that you don’t have experience in managing a company or industry that’s in decline. It takes a different skillset to do it. Plus, I am also afraid that a lot of people are going to lose their jobs because of you.

Please don’t take this personally. You are a good family man and helped a lot of people, But, we need new leadership.

I request the board to accept your resignation and start a CEO search right away.

So true. You can see the distress and desperation in how District and useless Regional staff are acting. Rearranging chairs on the Titanic.
