Harriman and Field Managers

Why does anyone in the glass palace think its ok that Harriman and Field Managers have to work holidays without anything in return.....Field managers get nothing for being away from their families over the holidays. Meanwhile, crews get time and a half (but just layoff anyway) and glass palace employees get days off. In the field, you DO NOT get any sick days regardless of this "new" policy and you get no holidays. Its a joke! This is not a knock on TEY....I am with you and glad you get something for having to work on holidays as well. This is for all of us who do not get compensated enough for working the holidays while the directors sit at home!

Funny how the assumption is no one in the glass palace works holidays, nights, weekends...there are some of us who have been working without vacations, without holidays, and without family time for months on end because we have had so much additional work piled on us from the reductions. We are essentially being told mediocre is better than exceptional. Then we are told our work doesn’t require so many hours and we need to learn how to give up some of our duties. No one is appreciated in this environment unlessyou kiss a and follow the leadership blindly. This is where we either find another place to start over in our career or s--- it up. A sh*y choice to have to make, but very real.

I wouldn’t say a 6 figure salary after 3-4 years of work isn’t nothing. If you can make it for 5-8 years and become a director you’ll be making 200k+ plus bonuses

Quit sniveling and get those trains out of the yard. Nobody has ever cared and nobody cares today. Make this Railroad great again.

Uuhhh, isn't that what the production and safety bonuses for? I would gladly exchange the average safety and production bonuses for a few days of forced overtime pay.

Work your tail off, get promoted, become a director, get a holiday off!
