Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

It is SAD that this website has become the place to try to tell management about issues!

They got rid of HR except for a group that are dedicated to writing "performance" memos if you screw up....or even when you don't. They have a ridiculous investigation team that "investigate" issues if you man up and call the Ethics hotline....but everything is "unsubstantiated" because they don't want to buck the system. And the whole focus is on what leadership wants - not the reality of what is happening. Employees have no avenue to tell anyone what their "leaders" are really doing. Management isn't supportive or helpful. Metrics are the only important criteria How you treat your employees is a reflection of how you treat your customers. It is not a surprise that policies and employees keep leaving for better organizations. I'm out too.

Very true, when I started 5 years ago there were cool aid drinkers all over, State Farm could do no wrong. Now that so many analyst have been let go, leadership doesn’t have the support they once did, very different place now.

So true. SF was very cult-y when I was there and it blew me away how people would move for tiny promotions. Also, so big I felt like they could do whatever they wanted. Leave that hole for greener pastures.
