Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

Can we survive?

Is there a way out of this? Or should I give up any hope and start my job search right now?

I hate to admit it, but I'm one of the (apparently very) few who enjoy working for Weatherford. But the complete loss of job security has tested even my loyalty.

I really wish I could see a positive outcome to current situation, but I'm coming up short.

No matter where you work, you should always be looking for opportunities. There is no harm in looking and interviewing. You never know what you might see out there.

I think they need to make sales more purposeful. Hiring more sales people will simply exasperate the problem of clients facing 9-12 disjointed sales people. So yes, once the company is in administration and these questions are tackled by people that know what they are doing, a lot of existing sales people will go.

You really think they will layoff sales staff? It seems sales is the main focus and all resources going to them.

Get out on your own terms. It's a toxic environment.

You’ll still have a job (unless your an Exec or about half the support or sales staff) or unless you work in a manufacturing plant in the first world.
