Anyone else with Monday Tuesdays off looking forward to working 19 days straight while fellow bothers and sisters across the system are out on the streets?

They dont force you to work 19 straight, you elect to do it and the company right now will let you. I worked 4 shifts straight and nothing was said to me.

Rules and Policies do not always apply folks. These idoots (management) will do what they want and the common man is suppose to just suk it up and keep turnin those wrenches.
Just out of curiosity, did you guys at North Platte ever fill those craft and apprentice openings? Or are you still short guys? They seemed desperate with those huge incentives. I know it has nothing to do with the post.
I work in North Platte, they absolutely do force people on their rest days if they happen to fall on holidays. I've done the 19 days straight 3 times in my 10 year. Makes for a joyful holiday.
On the plus side, you will be able to rape the company on double time on tuesday as well as get your holiday cards...
This guy IS not and id--t.....In North Platte they can and will force you 19 days straight!! Call some managers or union officials if you do not believe me!! Happened to me more than once!!

Even if you have to work 19 days straight, which you don’t, maybe look on the bright side and be thankful you still have a job this holiday season. Too many in the UP family would be more than happy to still have a job but don’t.
