Just curious, is it true that grade 12 typically would be getting between 500 to 1000 shares every year?
Please comment only if you are sure about it.

I received 450 RSUs as a G10 last year. Certainly not every year by any stretch of the imagination...
Anyone under G12 get stock? What’s your story?
Not all GR12s get stock. Almost all stock below 12 is gone. It’s the Fran People Deal, be happy you have a job and new episodes of The Beat in Cabo, Soth Africa, Fiji to watch.
whether LR or voluntary exit, unvested RSU are all deleted.
What happens to you RSU if you're LR'ed and they have not vested? Does give you something or you lose everything?
1000 RSU is about $44k at current CSCO share price. That's a lot of dough.
Cisco's review system is ideal for massive annual layoffs. No paper trails.
I'm grade 12 for a few years, top performer, and promised 13/PE for a while (which just seems to get further away). RSU's are very hit/miss.
2009-2012 I got none (G11 then) because I had a manager that only looked after his pals.
New manager in 2012 got me > 1000 in one go (4-5 year vest)
After G12 promotion, 2013 got me 1300 that vested over 4-5 years (25% per year)
After that, I got about 1000 every 2 years. But they arrive very sporadically.
Like nothing for 12-18 months and then 2 in a few months.
Nothing for the 12-18m since new manager/org structure.
With the current setup, I expect no more until I get new manager.
To me, it's ALL about who your manager is...
since 2014 we have no performance system in industry sense of the word (360 peer feedback, recording findings for posterity, employee response as in the old careerpath tool)
what we have is "director perceptions" and managers gossip. both these tribes are themselves immune from staff feedback.
is there any other large co out there incl FAANGM who have the csco current "review" system which is totally opaque ?
It used to be automatic as a g11. The past few years it’s been touch and go. Some mid performing g11s haven’t seen any in a long time. Top g11s have gotten 500-1000 the past couple of years though.
Sounds like 12 is the new 10
G13 and above are eating all the sugar and meat
In two years at G12 I have received one allocation of 500 RSUs. So, no, it’s not true.
I haven’t gotten much lately even though I am a top performer at 12
sad
@WCyXqLG-zaj - which BU were you in and location?
I was G12 and got around 1000-3000 per year but I was a top performer ( still left because of the appalling culture of layoffs - with 30k unvested shares - because it’s that bad in Cisco )
I was g12 for four years before leaving. Got no shares
So stop expecting milk and honey from whoever is trying to retain you by promising g12
Its just a hopeless pit like g11 given how the co is
