I too am getting contact by many former coworkers from GF. I'm not recruiting anyone. They are reaching out to me. I left semiconductor, and got back into power generation, so I'm not of much help to anyone looking to stay in semiconductor. Good luck to all looking to jump ship. It's sinking fast, so get out while you can is my advice.

It's probably Tom. Since he's gone into hiding, this board is his only way to spy, I mean connect with, employees. No wonder he's spinning out, after reading all the posts by talent leaving for better jobs because they've figured out the gig is up. I get messages from my former coworkers at GF. I'm like one rowing a lifeboat around after the Titanic sank. Even people I barely knew are messaging their "buddy".
Boy, looks like we really touched a nerve with that guy. Now he's out here doing HR's work on a Layoff board, things must be getting desparate.
May I remind everyone that recruiting for another company within 9 months of your exit date is a breach of your company agreement. You're also not supposed to disparage the company publicly so be warned. Turn-over at GF is within the norms of industry standards and in fact a well known fab in Austin as an example has much higher turn-over rate, less pay/benefits, and a real bad work/life balance. So we've got it pretty good here (the people that were able to stay). People on here keep posting that everyone is leaving but it's just not true. Its pretty common for some fallout after a layoff and this is definitely within the norms of that. It has already leveled off and is back to normal. Don't believe the hype on this website, they are always wrong and they like to spread false rumors just to get people worked up. If you don't believe me go back and read the last couple of Threads and you'll see just how wrong they were. And if you point out before these supposed events that they are false rumors, they jump down your throat after trying to cover up their big lies (like talking gibberish and insulting people to divert attention away from how wrong they were). These people have a lot of time on their hands on account they are not working and are just sitting in their mommy's basement surfing indeeddotcom and fuming over how they were rejected by a place they really liked working at. Its a natural emotional response for a small amount of people to have that even though most of us are stronger and better than that. Look around with your own eyes and you'll see GF is still a happy place to be right now in the area. There are no more layoffs coming and there should be a good bonus payout this April. Profits will be growing in 2019!....Success is on the horizon! The haters are just jealous they were not chosen to be part of that.
Lest not forget the failed 14XM as well.
