Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Ever look back at history and wonder?

How is that JG was removed due to poor financial performance, yet TT is still in power and the company has never been in worse shape? How can the board NOT vote him out?

you got me. im an excecutive/VP constantly monitoring the layoff board. ive

been outted.

you can continue thinking everything that doesn’t fit your narrative must be fake news or an executive.

im telling you that if you don’t like the situation....LEAVE. who cares about the past? employees, customers, and shareholders have free will to leave whenever they please.

if there is any hope for the company to stabalize itself its going to be with cost cutting. with a little organizing, they could cut 1/3 of the headcount and not feel a thing. this company has huge amounts of overhead from broken process and pointless jobs. this is both managers and low level. theres a lot of bad managers but there are also a lot managers who pick up slack from their terrible employees.

people come to this site out of fear. if you don’t like that feeling, change the situation. it might be hard and require actual effort. just the thought of effort is sickening for some people.

or you can continue coming to this site every night hoping you will still have your job the next day instead of bettering yourself professionally.

"I hope people have better things to do than read articles from 3 years ago"

Actually it is a very good thing to do - check to see how much better things are after TT took over - what was the company stock price like and so on? You don't want to always read 'fake news' on how well the company is doing - and don't look at past history because things are so good now? Lol - nice try - VP/Executive (fill in what role you are this month).

JG was let go for the company doing 'poorly'? Wow - then TT has made incredible strides at the company making oodles of money! Looks like actually TT has no clue to what he is doing all these years later - and good to post something from the past that highlights this. Customers/stockholders want to know the history of how well a company has performed - and if they read that post and see the stock price now, they will wonder how can this clown still be CEO?

Can't delete all the old news that shows how well the company was run before TT. Nice try.

Windstream needs a mass layoff at manager levels and directors. Too much micromanagement as these id--ts try to control a ship that THEY are sinking.

Being a Walmart door greeter is probably far more stable at this point.

I hope people have better things to do than read articles from 3 years ago. If you spend all your time dwelling on the past, you’re going to end up a wal-mart door greeter. As someone else said, WIN owes you nothing. If all this bothers you so much go find somewhere else to work before you end up in competition with the laidoff masses.

The reason is that it would cost more to buy out his contract rather than letting it run its course. However, I still don’t understand all his pay increases and incentives while the company performs poorly, salaried employees haven’t had increases in 3 years, and employees are laid off/outsourced in droves.
