Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

WIN owes you nothing

From a previous employee such as myself, I find it humorous to see so many of you bashing management, assuming they do nothing but sit there and stare at numbers all day. OBVIOUSLY, you are the ones that know nothing. I would say that most of the employees that worked for me were good folks, but... You know as well as I do that you could get rid of 1/4 of the hourly employees that you work with, and yes, complain about how they do nothing, and never miss a beat in your department.

With that being said, yes there are some managers that are absolutely worthless, most of which were promoted from craft with no managerial experience, nor were they properly trained, or took the initiative to learn their jobs, and how to properly support their teams.

To state "Cut Management" may mean you are the one that don't know what they are talking about and should fear yourself being on the chopping block.

Now, PLEASE do yourselves a favor, prepare yourselves for a new job, update your resume, make sure it is professionally written and focuses on your marketable skill sets. Do something to make your career better, rather than just complaining about WIN…. The job market is booming and is the right time to change careers or get on with a much more stable company.

Remember… WIN owes you nothing!

Companies have to treat their employees with respect - no matter what the profession is. Companies stuck in the past like WE, Frontier and others don't have any of their executive leadership with any brave ideas to set them apart from the competition.

These executive 'leaders' should be elected by the everyday employees, not a 'select' few that are also on the same board of directors. If the employees decide they don't like the current leadership - they should be able to remove them. The employees are the foundation of the company - something TT and his clueless people are finding out now as they outsource everything.

However, windstream is replaceable "hence" why our sales numbers s---! Piss your people off and they might just stay to s--- the blood out of you and drop the work mic at 3 or 4 in the afternoon.

Been doing that for 5 years now.....

Take the passion out of your people and you will secretly see why you are failing. Layoffs are not the answer at the contribution level. In fact, layoffs at the manager and director levels would be what the doctor ordered.

I like how you stated you were a previous employer before you went on this worthless rant. Clearly we have a low or middle manager still finding ways to lick the executive boot.
