Layoffs have become commonplace at Hertz, a yearly affair. After 100 managers were let go this month, I anticipate even more next year. Morale is terrible, pay is low, bonuses are c-ap, given that u have literally work ur butt off. In some regions, OT has been eliminated for VSA (vehicle service attendants), which has forced GMs and Directors of Ops to have to clean cars. If u are a manager who has not been affected by the layoff, expect to be told that you are going to have take on the job duties of those who have been laid off (no extra pay of course). In many smaller to mid size airports, there is only one manager now, which is an unenviable & impossible task. What typically happens in this case is the manager makes hourly employees do managerial tasks (no extra pay of course). The layoffs don't necessarily affect poor performing managers, it eliminates really good ones too. I have received nothing but praise & the highest possible eval score, but here I am w/o a job. The location where i worked is experiencing by far its best year in a long time, as we increased our fleet by 150 cars since March. Yet the CEO decided that only one manager is needed there. Unbelievable!

Haha. The kiosks s---. They're already gone from our location. But... There's no one to replace them. Just managers working more.
Hertz going to discontinue the kiosk in a few months they not telling us
