The latest Ricoh USA cut will haunt them. Too dumb to realize the negative chain of events about follow that will significantly impact sales. Short sighted leadership at its best. Always first seek to understand before being understood. Mix in Yes people with the lack of understanding = disaster.

I think all-in-all Joji Tokunaga is doing a good job given the mess that was handed to him. There have been significant investment in sales training and an understanding that the business is complex and varied. Joji also regularly communicates to all employees and gives frank assessments on the progress the company is making - or in some cases, not making.
My biggest complaint is management's belief they can manage this business through IT systems alone. Our business has always been a high touch business - but managing by the number of meetings a rep logs is shortsighted and shows a lack of understanding of the sales process. They should be managing by results and get rid of the two or three layers of managers that do nothing but create reports and track activities.
The other problem that I see is the Ikon "good old boys" network is still too strong. A thorough house-cleaning is needed. Ha... as I write this I am reminded of some of the other shortfalls of the company.... maybe it can't be saved.... hope that is not the case. There are a lot of amazing people in this business and one of the main reasons I stay.
Agree.
Company needs a major culture change and it needs to be top - down to be effective. The Sr. Leadership preach core values that they really don't understand themselves.
Wish someone would get Dennis's smug face off the rworld home page. pompas a-- he is.
Its like watching the movie Dumb and Dumber just only in real life.
That would be a good start but would never happen.
Jogi Tokuanga needs to axe Moody, Dispenziere, Venable, and Fonseca. He would be in a much better position.
