Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Life is good

Got a job in few weeks after let go. Got package and now enjoying working in busy asset with lot of drillings.

My feeling right now is similar to watching hunger games movie for all folks in EC3 and Main Complex while eating popcorn and drinking soda. With oil price drops to 50-60 level, my movie is getting better in 2019. Lol, gud luck to ya’all!!!

"With oil price drops to 50-60 level,"

I see why you were given a package. The "busy asset" you are now working at will have the same problems as the price of oil drops. Sometimes it amazes me how many people think that COP is the only company to suffer when the price of oil drops.

I think layoff will stay the norm at this company forever.

COP should have dropped the full ECO axe, but it will be fun to see who gets the chop in Sept/Ict 2019 .

Thanks, did not mean being selfish. Wish all the best to all ex colleagues in there, especially the decent, smart and hardworking one.

ConocoPhillips was a decent company before the split. Unfortunately, the leadership of the new company was more in love with themselves, with so much to prove after being passed over previously, they did not try to understand why they’d been passed over and improve their leadership.

Add self-serving corrupt narcissism, and you get a poisonous company. Congratulations on escaping, the grass is green (not brown) outside.
