Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Board and executive team

In looking at SEC filings it seems that $22 billion dollars have been spent on buybacks and > $80 per QCOM share was paid. Can someone confirm this? I am flabbergasted.

GD here. I'm a frequent visitor here to fight fake news. Let me explain this $82+ price trick. You know we initiated "accelerated buybacks" after the failed Dutch auction - modified, in fact. Dutch auction was originally derived from Tulip era. Ok let me come to the topic. Oh what are we taking about! Oops, my thought process is broken again, this happens to me all the time.

Oh yeah $82+ ? Come on folks. Nothing is free. That's what you get when we pad up fees and my commissions. Guys, it is accelerated, not your Robinhood trade. Now get back to work.

Imagine the price without buybacks artificially propping it up ! Eventually GD will run out of cash. 5G revenues better come along darn soon.

"messy" is polite.

"Average price per share paid : $82.4" is plain stooopid.

Sad to see a leading technology company reduced to financial shenanigans and fake data. Oh well. Time to move on.

The stock has now plunged 18% since the quarter ended on Sept. 30, after soaring 28% during the quarter. But that rally was aided by Qualcomm itself, as the company disclosed it spent $21.14 billion to buy back 254.6 million shares.

Qualcomm said it has spent $542 million to repurchase 8.5 million shares since Sept. 30.

That means about $8.3 billion remained from the $30 billion repurchase program it launched

after Qualcomm terminated its deal to buy NXP

Average price per share paid : $82.4
