Toy displays incoming?

According to this interview at 1m45s, the biggest predicted winner of the holiday season is amazon.com AND Whole Foods due to toy displays that will "fill the gap" from closed Toys R' Us stores.

Our store was selling $45 scarves and $60 yoga pants next to bacon. They constantly fell on the floor, I'm sure many were stolen, or were damaged. Some things just dont make sense to sell in a grocery store. On the flip side we do not carry the lifestyle items people expect to find in a supermarket, like batteries, office supplies, flashlights, etc. We make people go to the next plaza for light bulbs. Its not smart.

I beg to differ. Not all of us WB peeps smoke pot and most us aren’t hypocritical fake people. WB is a weird department to work in due to our guests not because of the team members who work in it. At my store most of Grocery and Produce seems stoned.

Post ID: @W02C0uc-mqz .......Yes, they used to be monstrous but even one is too many. We don't need the scarves either and thank goodness they ditched the shoes, they were never ending for quite a while. All of that stuff just gets stolen. WB is just an odd dept. with very odd employees. Always talking about health products but smoke weed, drink and take d--gs on their off time. Fake a$$ people. Lazy too.

This is nonsense. Our WB holiday toy displays used to be monstrous back in the day (when Toys R’ Us existed in the retail landscape), but that’s not the case any more. Yes, we still sell plenty of other seasonal “Lifestyles” items like scarves and the likes there of. Our current seasonal toy offerings are not much to boast about.

I am so sick of the "extras" in WB. Please stop selling the clothes, shoes and toys. It junks up the store and makes it look like a garage sale. Also, those clips all over the store, I know the stuff sells but we look like Walmart now and the product is in the way . It falls off constantly or guests pull it and then leave it on the shelf when they don't want it.

So what? There are large Melissa and Doug displays with 1-day sales mixed in every year... Get ready for the giant $100 M&D giraffe to hang around your store for months!
