Everyone super excited that your tl gets two dollars meanwhile as a buyer or supervisor you get screwed? I've been here almost 6 years and been promoted 5 times, now just make 15 and will be at 16. Joy, all my hard work gets me a dollar more than some id--t just off the street screw you whole foods.

You sound like a little kid that's p-ss-d off because his/her piece of cake isn't as big as the kid next to you. You just got a f---in raise that equals a 7% JD you dumb a--. If you want to make more money then move up and stop sh--ting on the people that have put in the time and hard work. Go find your safe place......
you forgot team trainer and educator.
dumb--s!
It's amazing to hear so many complain about their fellow tms and themselves getting a raise. Buyer's, supes, ATLs don't get screwed they get a dollar raise and at least 1 share of a $1700 stock. That sounds pretty reasonable to me.
Those complaining about TLs getting a bunch don't understand the scope of responsibility that role comes with especially combo teams.
Complainers going to complain.
All TLs capped or not get $2 raise. Promoted 5 times? You should be a STL by now.
TM >>> supervisor/buyer>>>> ATL >>>> TL>>>> ASTL>>>> STL
Thats 5 promotions. Thats the only ladder in WFM at store level. How da fck you only making $15????!!!!
I got promoted 3 times and im capped out at TL. I was TM >>>> SUP>>>>> ATL >>>> TL
Makes no sense but oh well. Haters will always hate.
What do ATLs get?
I'm wondering if capped out buyers and supervisors will get a dollar raise
TEAM LEADERS DONT DO Sh-- THEY DONT DESERVE A RAISE!
Amazon wont give a sh-- about pay once their robot warehouse workers are enabled and we go to almost cashier free stores
If that’s true it wouldn’t be a terrible idea for moral in the long run. Team members have been used to bonuses during the holidays. Having your JD and pay raise right before shopping for your loved ones might make some of the newer team members look the other way from gainsharing. Try to remember real bonus’s have been declining for the last three years
I have a feeling JD's reset for everyone on Nov 1st. Which will be a goddamn nightmare for TL Nov. 2019.
I'm a newer TL, been with the company for about a decade. TLs in my store were not expecting any raise from this, and I was as surprised as anyone about the $2. There are good TLs and bad TLs just like with TMs, but I know in a number of regions there are TLs exiting at a more rapid pace than ever while WFM keeps up the drive to expand at a rapid pace under the direction on Amazon. Effective TLs are hard to find for almost every team, and I know my region is really struggling to fill TL jobs at all in about half of the teams.
We wondered at our store if this is a play to try and retain as many TLs as possible to make expansion still feasible. Outside hires for TL and CDASTL are really tough to get to a good place and require a large investment from the regions. Team leadership jobs are exponentially more difficult than they were a few years ago, having to balance OTS with our actual product selling jobs while having to keep up morale on teams with less people expected to get more done. This is not a complaint, but this is at least a part of why there is a casual exodus of experienced TLs they might be trying to stem with more cash.
My primary goal every day is taking care of my team, as I know they have to get more done with less support than before. I was relieved to hear about the extra $1 for $14+ TMs, and happy to know my veteran employees are getting a share of $2k stock. I understand the concept that true long time veterans are feeling screwed, but at the same time, these raises don't change that they've been making $15-$19 for years while other TMs have been taking home $10-$12 over that same time (while many themselves got crunched by past wage increases), and most significantly, those are the people who should have been most poised to move up through the company and get to roles with higher pay ranges before the announcement. Also: you're getting stock.
If I feel sympathy for anyone, it is our newer buyers, supervisors, and ATLs who have a lot of responsibility and could be very close to $15. That s---s, and I don't feel good about it. That being said, these are the individuals who could benefit from increased caps and minimum pay for their current position or next step.
We still don't know what caps, quartiles, JDs, any of it is going to look like November 1st, but I'm hopeful Amazon sees retaining talent as both economically smart and necessary growing into the future.
Nobody is angry because they're getting a raise. They're angry because of how it's happening. Believe me, I was fully expecting them to say "f--- you" to all current tms and not give us a dime. But unfortunately It's way more complicated than just handing everyone a buck and moving on. people have invested years with the company and $1 after several dollars for newbies is a flat out insult. Supervisors and buyers have no motivation to keep their jobs because it's not worth it. You may as well be a bagger and have less responsibility...all while making the same money.
But seriously, to the author of this thread, if you've been promoted 5 times in 6 years and still aren't making $15, you've been getting boned since day one. May have wanted to consider standing up for yourself and asking for more money. They want you to think you can only get a certain amount but you can get more if you fight for it.
You're so stupid. Most people who work at Central are just tm positions who hold no power in how the stores operate. Most tms at Central also worked their way up from the stores, id--t.
F--- you all, just go prime yourself, bunch of f---ing crybabys who work in a grocery store.
F--- central they ran us into the ground they shouldl all have been fired. They should feel fortunate to still be employed.
Salary TMs get screwed over once again. CEN TMs are p-ss-d. Most don't make much more than store support TMs.
Quit your b--ching you are getting a raise for nothing regardless of if you are good or bad. Life isn’t fair but to complain about being given a raise is id--tic. If you are good TM I’m assuming your TL will push for a better percentage on your next JD.
So my TL, who makes twice as much as I do, gets a bigger raise. Great.
I'm not saying that TLs don't deserve it. Some do. Some don't. Mine actually does. But those of us at the bottom struggle way more than than TLs. Those people make so much that I doubt if they even need it or will notice it, and I doubt if many live from paycheck to paycheck like we do.
And not that gainsharing has been great lately, but it was starting to get better; almost significant even. Well, f--- that.
But here's my real concern. Yearly raises now seem to be capped at an insulting 5%. I came to WFM to escape sh-- like this.
That extra dollar will count for something, and I'm grateful for it, but after starting at $11 six years ago, I kind of feel like it's a mild insult.
How have you been promoted five times and are still a supervisor/buyer?
Capped out TL's get the raise too. Up to $37. I have a sneaking suspicion they might make them salaried. There's definitely more to come.
Do you think Bezos got to be so rich by caring about employees? There was lots of time for all WFM employees to educate themselves about how f---ed up it is to work for Amazon. As Gollum said to Bilbo "Time's up" and you ain't got no magic ring! Happy Holidays!!
Soon they will cut everyone's hours and then next another round of layoffs/ consolidating jobs. It's all a joke. We work for the richest man in the world to and they're screwing us like this.
I'm right there with you. Right years of service and I make 14.93. So someone who walks in the door is going to make more money on eye than me after their 3 and 6 month JD. I'm FURIOUS. And don't forget the fact that they're getting rid of gain share. The email was so f---ed up. They said something about how the program no longer fits team-building members needs or some sh--. I don't understand how giving people extra money every month doesn't meet their needs. They're so full of sh--. I want to move out of state and I'm using them so I can transfer. After that I'm gone. F--- this sh--.
Capped out TMs still get a raise!
Do seasoned TMS get a $1 raise?
I'm a capped out TL. Do I still get a raise?
