Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Another 62 people without a job- SF is closing the Livonia offices

ate farm is closing no less than two offices in Livonia and another 62 people are packing their bags. The explanation is that the company wants to consolidate the employees at larger hubs. I don’t buy that. This looks to me like regular, old fashion cost-cutting, nothing else. Their goal is to maintain the number of customers with fewer offices in the greater Detroit area, but it doesn’t work that way, and it won't be long before these practices backfire on the company. I hope that the guys who were laid off don’t wait too long before they find new jobs, and I just keep thinking how long it will be before the rest of us become victims of these ill practices.

Yes they always want to make things sound so good that there are more jobs "all around the country" but don't forget it is at the expense off tearing families apart!

That's making things go right. I honestly believe they get off on hurting customers.

Those employees knew their office was closing long before this article came out. It was announced in 2013, then about 2-2.5yrs ago they found out the 11/30/18 date.
