Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

Who manages BD 401k funds?

Could someone let me know who manages BDs 401k accounts. Bard uses Vanguard, wondering if BD is the same.

BD doesn't have personal days or floating holidays. They have one bucket for sick and vacation days and 8-10 holidays (days off) a year. The hours you accrue for PTO depends on your years of services. You accrue an X amount of hours per pay period.

From my expirence, personal days are somewhat flexible if you are salary depending upon your situation, performance and manager. What the formal HR policy is, I don’t know.

I too was disappointed with the health ins costs when I came to BD several years ago, especially how it’s tierd based on salary. So if you are near one of the bands, you get hit esp hard. However, the dramatic rise in costs can be blamed on the affordable care act - not BD.

Can someone let me know if BD has "personal days" and what the max is for vacation time. Here at Bard we are having our meetings to let us know all the benefits we are loosing due to this buyout. Health insurance to go through the roof.

Boy, I didn't realize how wonderful a company Bard was and how good they were to their employees until I am faced with everything I am loosing because it would be to expensive for BD to keep.

BD should have really left Tim Ring in charge. Employees would matter too, not just stockholders.
