Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Does University of Phoenix deserve HLC accreditation?

The Higher Learning Commission has five criteria for granting accreditation. Is UoPX meeting these standards, especially as they downsize?

Yes.

1yfx - most peer reviewers are from very traditional universities, and - zvg - they select whom they talk to.

Who does the HLC reviews? Aren't they people from other subprime collleges?

All the VP's who handled the visits in the past are gone as are many of the directors who also handled the reports and questions. Should be very interesting as those left are not concerned about contract rules or ethics.

Has anyone ever been on campus during an HLC visit? If so, what was it like?

No we are not! What they need to do is have a surprise visit and be given access to managers and below to get they information. Not the higher up that keep them sequestered or talk to prepped employees.
