@Vu6ECR5-bnt is 100% correct. This is shady way to cover tracks while headcount is ramping to prepare for upcoming layoff. 35 people will be laid off for every 100 added to India. If your team is increasing greatly the headcount in India be very, very wary. This is sign your team is about to be cut.

Many jobs in India. HR uses same req number for hundred of new hires then created new unique req number once candidate is in hiring pipeline. Just multiply India req by 100 (x100) this will provide rough estimate of incoming new hires.
