Not a topic related to layoffs, but I see people complaining about their work conditions, and I definitely have something to say on that subject. J.B. Hunt is a good company for newcomers to the business, but when you are here for a longer amount of time, you find yourself in an unorganized environment, full of double standards, and were any chance of promotion, or even making some more money, is considered just wishful thinking.
My biggest complaint goes to the uncertainty of when and where we are expected to put in extra work hours. Our bosses fail to organize the workload in a way that we have, at least, some sense of when will we be working more, and when not. I don’t even want to mention filling in for the company favorites. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind putting some extra time at work, but with that sort of poor organization and management, you never know when will you be expected to work longer, and for me, that’s as bad as working longer every day. Wouldn’t recommend committing to J.B hunt, and making the same mistake I did, to anyone. Chances are I’ll be looking for something new soon.
