The latest rumors are that the railroad is going down to two Regions instead of three. Also, potentially a 30% reduction in administrative headcount and 10% in non-administrative. I didn't catch whether the non-admin piece was Operating as a whole or the field or something else. I heard this could be coming in May of next year. Again this is just rumors, but that means it's likely these numbers are being discussed. It's almost like you have better luck of winning at scratch and win lottery tickets than getting 30 years in at the railroad...As long as the investors are happy, right?!

“As long as the investors are happy” is so true. In the past we’ve had to endure layoffs, but many of those times senior management said that in the current economy we had to tighten our belts to remain competitive. Ok so now the economy is booming and unemployment is very low. So what do we believe now???
This is nothing more than corporate greed and an extreme need to make shareholders happy. What you get out of this is employees walking on eggshells just waiting for the next cut even if the economy is surging.
Any news on system production gangs being cut like 2015?
Oct 19th, 2018 - Also, Marketing and Sales is going to start notifying customers that as if this date, the manifest group within Customer Care will be defunct.
I heard 30% headquarters cut. Possibly moving IT to a subsidiary (PST) or dissolving it entirely and working with contracting companies.
Is that 10/19, as in day and month.. next week? Or October 2019?

Denver, twin cities St. Louis, Livonia and Sunset are going to be dissolved.
And the date we’ve been hearing is 10/19.
Well fortunately for me they can't hurt me. I have an Engineers date. Manager or not I've got an ace in the hole. I've heard managers will lose their offices and crews will be shuttled by Managers. All would've been announced if not for Wyoming tragedy. Now get your a-- out to your train !!!!!
