Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

I am hearing Xerox is attempting to offer some direct sales people other positions at GIS in order to not pay severance to individuals who decline the move. In addition, Xerox will absolutely fight these persons unemployment benefit requests. They know that some of the job changes are close enough to the Unemployment Officer that it could disqualify you from benefits. They are suffering with very high unemployment insurance rates for some states, thus they have a cost mitigation strategy with help from a third party to reduce pay outs from the plans. Rather than prepare for this kind of hell, if you are still working there..save as much money as you can and look proactively for a new job ASAP....IMO.
